Adam started Advantix back in 2003 doing traditional web design. After several years of building up a client base and gaining a large amount of experience in Internet Marketing, he’d started working with clients such as Rightmove, GoCompare, Mercedes, Innocent Drinks and Yorkshire Water.
After this, he spent a year working on a business automation system called ‘The Brain’ for Sussex Academy of Music – this was a finance system, a contact manager, a booking system, stock system and a lot more. Building ‘The Brain’ was the catalyst Adam needed to move Advantix in a new direction.
This project exposed the organisational issues that many businesses face with admin, paperwork and disorganised communication, often rendering most business owners generic office workers – instead of being able to grow their businesses. If you know Adam at all, you’ll know this is a problem he HAD to solve!
For the next year, it was a case of identifying the simplest tools to be built that solved biggest problems. If tens of thousands were going to be spent building these apps, it was important to make sure they were so easy to use, ANYONE that used them would love them!
Day to day: On a day-to-day basis, Adam is working on building the pages for the apps, handing customer support and talking about Advantix to anyone who will listen!
If you want to talk to someone about anything to do with generating more leads, selling more stuff or any kind of online marketing – talk to Adam. He’s known for giving lengthy, free consultations and helping people wherever possible.

Sabrina started working with Advantix officially in late 2009. Her contribution started out as organising finances, the odd bit of testing and proof reading. As the months went by, she took on more and more development work, freeing Adam up to focus on the design, sales and creative direction of the company.
Today, Sabrina’s the project manager for Advantix. She works with developers all over the world. Her thinking (and quite rightly so) is, “What’s the point in limiting yourself to trying to find great developers close to our base in Brighton when there are hundreds of thousands of incredible developers all over the world?”.
Over the last year, Sabrina’s built up her own systems for getting things done. She’s spent months on end in Europe, while increasing productivity. Sabrina is incredibly efficient, so she’ll often talk directly with clients about certain specifics on their sites to ensure it’s exactly as they want.
When she’s not slaving over her laptop, she’s making cakes for clients. Here are a few words about Sabrina’s cake-making-skills:
“Literally the best chocolate cake ever!” – Rob
“Apple crumble is an award winner” – Boyce
“I love meetings with you guys, I always get amazing cakes; why do you think I come over so much?” - Ben
One day, Sabrina will leave Advantix and start her own cake shop, but for now, we can all be happy that our websites are being looked after by such an insanely organised, productive human being.
